folks, first off, I'm sorry because I know this has been covered on the forum before back when I used to post here (circa 2006/07), and I tried using search, but to no avail. there is a version of touch of grey where jerry starts out the intro SUPER fast and everyone else has a hard time even figuring out what he's doing. the whole thing is so ramshackle and unlike anything else i've heard them do. any ideas?

Though it doesn't exactly fit the bill, the 10.9.83 performance opening the second set is the most unusual that I've ever heard (with 4.14.84 coming in a reasonable 2nd): The tempo is clockin' in at fAST & it's the(?) *gasoline* version. this is a fast-tempo'd set 2 with the eyes>Man Smart transition like butter & an excellent Space> penultimate NFA. Why would you want to hear that again?

5/08/84 has an atrocious Scarlett>Touch combo that sounds as if everyone just got done doing a bump of Jerry's stash. Touch is really fast and terrible. I think its quite possibly the worst second set opening combo I have ever heard.

Imagine what is was like for the folks in the audience that night.

"Gee, this Scarlet just ain't got it tonight. That's OK, hopefully they'll turn it on for Fire."

Two minutes later:

"Noooooooooooooooooooooo!"

Oh man, Im tellin ya SDH...I had to pull the vid from this evening to see how bad Jerry looks. From the screenshots(I am gonna watch it this weekend) the greasy hunchback is in full effect. Not moving, slupmed over and playing fast as hell.

We just finished this show for our review club and it got lambasted by most. Just awful. Kinda ironic I feel compelled to watch it because it is so bad.
